Donald Joseph Qualls (also known as DJ Qualls) is an American actor, producer and model. His fame was sparked by his part as a character in Road Trip. Since then, he has appeared in 20 feature films such the The New Guy Hustle & Flow or The Core. The actor has also been featured in over 22 TV shows such as Breaking Bad Supernatural Scrubs Lost Law & Order among others. Qualls battled Hodgkin's lymphoma when he was just 14 years old. The cancer had gone into remission after two years. The early treatment was extremely detrimental to the development of his body and health. As he started to act, as if financial security was his goal because the experience of poverty was a constant throughout his childhood. He stated that "I've lived a life of frugality throughout my life that I need financial security otherwise things will get out of hand and that's not good for me." Also, he reflects on his own youth to determine what he can do about bullying. The cruelty of bullying breaks my heart, he claims. DJ's dream role would be to be a father in reel and in reality. However, he acknowledges that directors don't cast me in those roles. He'd like to have a baby so you could spend less time on his career to more focus on the baby.
